USB AUDIO & STORAGE
USB to Device and Host capabilities provide a world of opportunity, including recording and playing digital audio, storing songs, playing song files and connectivity to computers.
STUDIO-QUALITY SOUNDS
The CS8 has a broad selection of studio quality instrumental sounds including electric pianos, organs and orchestral instruments. Any two sounds can be played on the keyboard simultaneously and there is a Split mode where two different instrument sounds can be played on opposite sides of the keyboard. The Four Hands mode splits the keyboard into 2 identical 44-note pianos, allowing simultaneous practice with a teacher or duet partner.

The CS8 features a selection of popular classical piano works from the Baroque and Romantic periods, nearly two hours of music in all.
LESSONS AND EXERCISES
The CS8 comes with the first year’s lesson songs from Alfred Publishing’s Basic Piano Course 1, Premier Course 1 and Adult Course 1 built in. We’ve also included the printed music and recordings for time-tested finger exercises such as scales, arpeggios and Hanon songs. Learn More »
RECORDER
The CS8 offers an easy to use 10-Song / 2-Track built-in Recorder ideal for self-evaluation or capturing a moment of inspiration.
VIRTUAL TECHNICIAN
A skilled piano technician can personalize an acoustic piano’s sound and touch response. Kawai’s exclusive Virtual Technician does the same for the CS8 digital piano.
GRAND FEEL PEDAL SYSTEM
The CS8 features three pedals – soft, sostenuto, and damper (with half-damper capability). The new Grand Feel Pedal System reproduces the individual weighting of each of the three pedals of the Kawai EX concert grand.
SLIDING KEY COVER
The CS8 has a built-in sliding key cover to protect the keyboard from dust and debris when the instrument is not in use.
JACKS AND CONNECTIONS
In addition to USB, the CS8 has other useful jacks including 2 headphone jacks, MIDI connections and audio input / output jacks for connecting to sound equipment and recording systems.
