The CS11 joins the Kawai CS10 and CA97 as the world’s only digital pianos that use a real wooden soundboard to create and transmit their sound. This unique approach creates a piano tone that is rich, warm and non-directional, offering a playing experience that is closer to that of an acoustic instrument. 

The CS11 paints a highly detailed acoustic portrait, with Harmonic Imaging XL technology ensuring smooth tonal transitions across the keyboard and throughout the entire dynamic range of the piano.

For Touch, the CS11 uses our latest Grand Feel II action with Let-off and Triple Sensor key detection. This action features real wooden keys with Ivory Touch key surfaces along with a mechanical design patterned after our grand piano actions. 

Part of the magic of the CS11 comes from its stunning ebony polished cabinet which is the same one used with Kawai’s K-200 Professional Upright Piano. A traditional leg and toe block design along with a classic fallboard evoke timeless tradition. The finish is made with durable polyester, the same material used in our acoustic piano finishes.

The CS11 has a broad selection of studio quality instrumental sounds including electric pianos, organs and orchestral instruments. Any two sounds can be played on the keyboard simultaneously -- and Split Mode allows two different instrumental sounds to be played on opposite sides of the keyboard. The Four Hands mode splits the keyboard into 2 identical 44-note pianos, allowing simultaneous practice with a teacher or duet partner.

The CS11 features a selection of popular classical piano works from the Baroque and Romantic periods, close to two hours of music in all.

The CS11 comes with the first year’s lesson songs from Alfred Publishing’s Basic Piano Course 1, Premier Course 1 and Adult Course 1 built in. We’ve also included the printed music and recordings for time-tested finger exercises such as scales, arpeggios and Hanon songs.

The CS11 offers an easy to use 10-Song / 2-Track built-in Recorder ideal for self-evaluation or capturing a moment of inspiration.

A skilled piano technician can personalize an acoustic piano’s sound, touch, and tone response through a variety of techniques. Kawai’s exclusive Virtual Technician does the same for the CS11 digital piano.

The CS11 features three pedals – soft, sostenuto, and damper (with half-damper capability). The new Grand Feel Pedal System reproduces the individual weighting of each of the three pedals of the Kawai EX Concert Grand.

In addition to USB, the CS11 has other useful jacks including 2 headphone jacks, MIDI connections and audio input / output jacks for connecting to sound equipment and recording systems.
